- Changes include the use of a new logo, and digital resources including the relaunch of tevauk.com and the establishment of a patient-led platform called ‘Life Effects’
4 September, 2019 – Teva UK Limited has launched a new patient-centric brand in the UK, marked by a refreshed visual identity and a new digital platform entitled ‘Life Effects’.
The brand was officially launched at the 2019 NHS Health and Care Innovation Expo in Manchester, which is the biggest NHS-led event of the year – attracting around 5,000 people from the NHS, social care, local government, the third sector and the commercial sector across the UK.
Using patient insights to launch a new digital platform
During the development of the new brand identity, Teva spoke to more than 1,000 patients from across the UK about how best to support them in taking control of their own health and wellbeing. As a result, Teva has launched a new digital platform in the UK called Life Effects – https://lifeeffects.teva/eu/.
The platform is shaped by patients for patients, and shines a light on their real-world experiences and stories.
Life Effects consists of articles, videos and podcasts that offer information, insight and inspiration to people suffering from one or more chronic conditions, including multiple sclerosis, migraine or mental health. A particular focus is given on the impact a condition has on a patient’s day-to-day life. By working with a core group of patient contributors on an ongoing basis, Life Effects offers a first-hand, credible perspective on what it’s like to live with a chronic condition. Together, these patient contributors and Life Effects tell authentic stories, take a patient-centric look at the latest thinking, and offer practical tips and advice to make things a little easier.
Supporting pharmacists and community pharmacies across the UK
As a key supplier to the UK pharmacies and dispensaries, Teva’s new brand will see the company maintain an active role in supporting pharmacists to help patients to live better days, by developing services and initiatives to enable patients to be better informed and able to access information and services through their pharmacy. Teva will be showcasing more of their pharmacy offering at the upcoming Pharmacy Show, which is due to be held at the NEC in Birmingham from the 6 – 7 October.
The most visual change in the Teva brand is a new logo, which will start to roll out on new
packaging for the company’s medicines in 2020. “The launch of the new Teva brand in the UK is about keeping patients at the heart of everything we do,” said Kim Innes, General Manager of Teva UK & Ireland.
“New initiatives such as the Life Effects platform, new next-generation packs and our support for pharmacies, strengthens our position as a leading contributor to patient health and wellbeing across the UK. We’re proud of the work we do and the opportunity that the new brand offers us to connect even better with patients and healthcare professionals across the country.”
